How Harle Dogs tests dog toys: two Pomeranians, zero mercy
If you have ever come home to a snowstorm of stuffing and one guilty face, you know exactly how Harle Dogs started.
We are Harley and Lebowski, two Pomeranians with strong opinions about toys. Small dogs, big jaws, zero mercy. Plush toys lasted minutes. Squeakers were removed with surgical precision. Rope-only toys unraveled into sad spaghetti.
The Harle Dogs testing method is not complicated
Harle Dogs brings home a toy. Harley and Lebowski try to destroy it. Most toys fail.
There is no lab, no clipboard, and no mercy. A toy earns a spot in the Harle Dogs store only after it has survived weeks of the full treatment:
- Daily chewing sessions from two dogs who take the job seriously
- Tug of war, dog versus dog and dog versus human
- Fetch on grass, gravel, and tile
- The dreaded bury-and-rediscover cycle
Why Harle Dogs only sells four toys
Because only four toys made it. That is the honest answer.
The rubber bone, the soccer ball, and the football in coral and navy are all solid natural rubber with real braided ropes, $14 to $18 each. They flex instead of tearing, and the ridged surfaces stand up to serious chewing while giving teeth something useful to work on.
Harle Dogs would rather sell four toys that actually survive than forty that end up as floor confetti.
One honest note
No toy on earth is truly indestructible, and anyone who promises otherwise has never met a determined Lab. Supervise play, and retire a toy if pieces ever start coming loose. That is what Harle Dogs does at home too.
